Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Are you passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure and building reliable, scalable systems? Our client is looking for a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team and help drive operational excellence.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining highly available and secure cloud infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of AWS, automation, networking, CI/CD, security and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to streamline deployments and optimise platform performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Maintain Scalable Infrastructure - Build and manage cloud-based systems to ensure availability, performance and security.
  • Automation & CI/CD - Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable deployments.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) - Use Terraform and other tools to automate and manage cloud environments.
  • Security & Compliance - Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance across all infrastructure.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with developers, QA teams and stakeholders to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.

What We're Looking For:

  • Expertise in AWS and cloud-based architecture
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD etc.)
  • Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security and system monitoring
  • Experience working with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Please note: Hybrid working in Central London, for an initial 12m contract and paid on a daily rate inside IR35.
