Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of one of our Liverpool secondary schools who looking for a full-time, Sixth Form Mentor. This role is temporary and to start asap.

This school is an exciting and dynamic inner-city, 11-18 comprehensive Academy with over 1300 students on roll, 153 of whom are in the sixth form. The Academy sits in the heart of the community and is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school.

General responsibilities:

  • To supervise the sixth formers during their free/study time.
  • Ensure standards are maintained in terms of uniform and behaviours.
  • To support teachers in enabling students to learn
  • General admin duties - To oversee the writing of Sixth Form reports, provision of subject information to parents, parents' meetings, and response to parents' enquiries, ensuring that high standards are maintained.
  • Support students with their UCAS applications process.
  • Oversee the running of the Sixth Form area.

The essentials:

  • Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one.
  • Full and complete 10-year career history
  • Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
