Snr Software Engineer - Android AOSP

Do you have experience of Android AOSP-based Projects either commercially or as a hobbyist? Would you like to work on leading edge government security projects? Are you a UK national happy to go through security clearance? If so we could have the job for you.

Role - Android Engineer aka Senior Software Engineer Android, AOSP expert, Android Developer, AOSP Engineer

Salary c. 85K + Private Medical, Excellent Pension, 25 Days rising with service

Location - Central London 3 days a week on site required due to Government / Security requirements

Starting as a standalone AOSP expert working with clients and an existing Linux engineering team to work on Security products for the UK Government and Defence establishment. This will be all greenfield projects with the potential to develop a specific AOSP team over time that you could lead. 

Key requirements

• Knowledge of AOSP Architecture 
• Experience of AOSP projects
• Solid experience in C/C++ and Java 
• Android Security knowledge e.g. Permissions, authentication, encryption, SELinux

Nice to Have's

• Kotlin
• RESTful APIs / JSON
• Version Control - e.g. Perforce / GIT
