Merrifield Consultants are proud to partner with a fantastic research charity to find their new Social Media Executive. This role is fantastic for a candidate who has a strong background in managing several social media channels for an organisation. This role will play a vital part in amplifying the charity's social media presence, driving online engagement, and maximising the impact of paid and organic ads campaigns.


Job Title: Social Media Executive
Reporting into: Head of Digital Marketing
Contract: Full time, permanent (35 hours per week)
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum
Location: Bracknell, one day a week in the office

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, BlueSky and TikTok.
  • Create compelling content (text, images, videos) that aligns with the brand and resonates with target audiences.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance, track and report on key metrics (reach, engagement, conversions), and through regular reports.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build a strong online community.
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform updates.
  • Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics (clicks, conversions, cost-per-click), and generate regular reports.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in social media marketing (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar tools like Hootsuite, or Buffer.
  • Experience with PPC platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised and able to excel under pressure often working to tight deadlines.
