We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and lead the charge in developing and implementing effective Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Social Value (SV) strategies.

Role Overview: As our ESG and Social Value Strategy Lead, you will build on our existing efforts and create a comprehensive strategy to drive ESG and SV initiatives. You will harness the capabilities of our organization, articulate our commitments clearly across our clients and the marketplace, and amplify our impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive ESG and social value strategies for Constellia and our clients.
  • Collaborate with clients during the pre-procurement phase to establish appropriate and achievable SV strategies.
  • Identify key areas for meaningful social impact and integrate these into strategic planning.
  • Establish a new 'Innovative Technologies Council’ for sharing best practices in social value in procurements.
  • Develop a strategy to attract and showcase SME and VCSO providers to our clients through events and roadshows.
  • Create frameworks for applying a 10% weighting on SV in tenders for the Public Sector.
  • Identify potential partners for collaborative initiatives.
  • Develop selection and award criteria for contracts using the Most Advantageous Tender approach.
  • Create an SV planning tool to coordinate providers' volunteering efforts.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal and client stakeholders, including senior management, to embed ESG and social value principles.
  • Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including community groups, NGOs, and government agencies.

3. Risk and Impact Measurement and Reporting:

  • Identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities.
  • Develop frameworks for risk mitigation and impact measurement.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on social value data using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Compliance and Regulation:

  • Stay informed about relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to ESG and SV.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.

5. Training and Awareness:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about ESG and SV concepts among suppliers and staff.
  • Provide guidance to teams on integrating social value considerations into their work.
  • Maintain and report on the volunteering capacity of the team to contribute to SV outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar role within Social Value, CSR, sustainability, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Strong understanding of social value concepts, legislation, impact measurement methodologies, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Constellia’s mission and values.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.assessment.
