About Us:
Our Client, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is seeking dedicated and experienced Team Managers to join our assessments team. This is a unique opportunity for Senior/Advanced Practitioners looking to step into a managerial role or accomplished Team Managers to be part of a nurturing and supportive local authority.

About the Role: As a Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services. Your responsibilities will include ensuring statutory duties and best practices are followed, developing a team plan aligned with Children's Services strategic objectives, and providing management oversight on all cases with a clear understanding of risk. You will manage the team's workflow, quality assure work through observations and reflective supervision, and contribute to the development of LBBD's quality assurance framework. By building positive relationships with colleagues and partner agencies, you will contribute to providing support and protection for vulnerable children and young people across the County.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Between £51,903.00 - £56,022.00 per annum (subject to experience)
  • Annual retention payment: tbc
  • Welcome payment: tbc
  • Hybrid working opportunities (2-3 days in the office)

About You: To be successfully appointed to this post, we require the following:

  • Social Work England registration: Essential
  • Experience at Senior Social Worker level: Essential
  • A recognized qualification in Social Work: Essential
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive: Ideally
  • Enhanced DBS clearance : Essential
