Social Worker - Family Support Team

Opus people solutions on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to their Family Support Team

Job Title: Social Worker - Family Support Team
Length of assignment: 3 Months
Hours per week: 3 Day per week
Hourly rate: £38-£42 per hour
Location: Civic Offices
Remote/Office based: Hybrid

We hold Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children / Court through to the end of proceedings. On average caseloads are 10 families which is approximately 22 children, everyone’s caseload is a mixture of CIN and CP and the more experienced staff hold court cases but no more than 3 families at one time this can include private proceedings completing Section 7 or 37 reports.

Supervision is held every 4 weeks this is personal and case supervision. Our current working arrangements due to COVID-19 are all children and families are seen for home visits within statutory timescales, when staff are not completing visits they are working from home and predominantly all meetings, such as, core group, family support and Strategy Meetings are held via Microsoft Teams.
