Our client is seeking a SocialWorker to join their Child Protection Team in Dorset!

Pay

£35.00 per hour

Hours

Monday - Friday

The role of a Social Worker:

  • Experience in child protection and court proceedings, a positive outlook, and a commitment to kindness and teamwork. You will be responsible for managing a caseload within our Child Protection and Complex Child in Need (CIN) team, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to address extra-familiar risks and harms.
  • Case Management: Hold and manage a caseload of child protection and complex CIN cases.
  • Prepare for and attend court, providing expert testimony and thorough documentation.
  • Act as the lead practitioner in child protection cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
  • Work collaboratively with adult practitioners and other professionals as part of our multidisciplinary teams.
  • Address extra-familiar risks and harms, ensuring a comprehensive approach to child protection.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work: A bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
  • DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in child protection, court work, and working within multidisciplinary teams.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with a positive outlook, demonstrate kindness, and thrive as part of a friendly and supportive team.
  • Motivational Interviewing: Previous training in motivational interviewing is advantageous but not essential as training will be offered.
  • Team Player: Enjoy being part of a friendly and supportive team environment
