QSW - Children We Care For Team

Contract: Initially for 3 months

Location: Chichester or Worthing

About the Role:

This company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their Children We Care For Team in the South of England. The successful candidate will have at least 2/3 years of experience in a related team and recent front-line social work experience. They will be responsible for working with children and young people, identifying their needs, and developing direct work skills. The role requires social workers to travel to see children wherever they are placed, which could be nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with children and young people over a period of time in order to help them settle, make sense and recover from their experiences and look forward to their future
  • Identifying risk and carrying out good assessment skills
  • Undertaking court work as part of the role requirement
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams

Requirements:

  • At least 2/3 years of experience in a related team
  • Recent front-line social work experience
  • Direct work with children to be able to identify their needs
  • Good multi-agency working experience

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.

Additional Information:

  • Caseloads are about 18 children
  • Supervision every four weeks
  • Manager available every day for ad hoc advice and supervision
  • Pay rate: £38 per hour (capped at £42)
  • Drivers Licence and car owner essential due to rural locations in the area
