Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer (Biometrics) Placement Student to join our talented team in our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester for 12 months starting Summer 2025.
Therole overview:
As a Software Developer you will maintain and develop software tools to evaluate performance of the ICU range of biometric products. You will be given the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development within our ICU Intelligent Identification Team.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting senior software developers in maintaining and improving current codebase
- Developing and improving upon current software tools to evaluate performance of biometric algorithms
- Investigating and resolving underlying issues based on testing
- Contributing to improvements to the face analysis algorithms
- Ensuring that code added to the pipeline / common Git repositories is of the required standard and is well documented / commented so that it is easy to maintain and extend
Your Skills & Experience:
- Hands on skills for software development e.g Python, C#
- Analytical approach to problem solving and bug fixes
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Fast self-learner
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
- An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
