Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer (Biometrics) Placement Student to join our talented team in our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester for 12 months starting Summer 2025.

Therole overview:

As a Software Developer you will maintain and develop software tools to evaluate performance of the ICU range of biometric products. You will be given the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development within our ICU Intelligent Identification Team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior software developers in maintaining and improving current codebase
  • Developing and improving upon current software tools to evaluate performance of biometric algorithms
  • Investigating and resolving underlying issues based on testing
  • Contributing to improvements to the face analysis algorithms
  • Ensuring that code added to the pipeline / common Git repositories is of the required standard and is well documented / commented so that it is easy to maintain and extend

 Your Skills & Experience:

  • Hands on skills for software development e.g Python, C#
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and bug fixes
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Fast self-learner
  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
