A Degree qualified (Computer Science) Software Engineer with commercial C++ skills as well as a good understanding of software testing techniques and some web development skills, will join the Dublin team of an established High-Tech company. Hybrid working available and fantastic benefits package.

Applicants will be highly proficient in C++ (preferred) or C; have some knowledge of other languages such as C# / Rust or Python, have some experience of developing high performance / multi-threaded applications as well as possessing some web development skills.

You’ll be a key member of a talented team of software engineers and testers creating development tools used by game developers - ensuring quality and robustness throughout.

Essential skills include:

  • A minimum of a 1st / 2.1 Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
  • Strong C++ skills (ideally) or C.
  • 2+ years commercial software development experience.
  • Proven understanding of software testing techniques including writing unit tests.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

Desirable skills include:

  • Developing high performance applications on Windows, Linux and/or MacOS.
  • UI/UX design.
  • Other languages such as Python, C# and/or Rust.
  • Front-end web development; back-end development; database technologies; Web Servers.

A generous salary will be offered (depending on your level of experience) with Hybrid working (after initial weeks spent in office) which could be as little as one office day per week with benefits to include 25 days holiday, private medical insurance, staff discounts, a relaxed working environment and opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
