Working as a Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer you will join the Development Team where you will be involved in the design, development, coding, customisation, configuration, testing and deployment in support of internal applications.

As the Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects.

This is a Full Stack position, and you will need a willingness to learn, develop and explore new technologies.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer include:

  • Building and supporting the analytics platform, backed by Power BI and built in React, .Net & Azure Technologies
  • ERP system customisations; event actions, APIs, data migrations, PL/SQL procedural work. Oracle based system (IFS)
  • Integrations with external platforms to the ERP system, utilising RESTful web services, PL/SQL, message brokers & cloud technologies. (vehicle routing, electronic proof of delivery, expenses, agronomy platforms)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is a full stack position, therefore a willingness to learn, develop and explore new technologies and principles are important qualities
  • You must have previous commercial experience in a similar role
  • You must have experience in a .NET
  • You must have experience working with databases & writing procedures
  • You must be able to utilise established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to .NET, C#, PL/SQL
  • You should have an understanding of Software Development Life Cycle / SDLC
  • You should also have a willingness to investigate and develop skills in new technologies
  • Ideal if the person has worked in a sales & distribution business

DESIRABLE

Although desirable but not essential, if you have the following skillset this could be a distinct advantage:

  • Exposure to cloud technologies, ideally Azure
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & NodeJS
  • Knowledge of React JavaScript library or similar
  • Understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies
  • Experience with code versioning tools (Git)
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of practices such as TDD, BDD and continuous delivery
  • Knowledge of SOLID principles
  • Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in systems
  • Understanding how to integrate with other 3rd party platforms
  • Background in object-oriented development techniques

It is essential you are a team player, with excellent communication skills and be able to co-ordinate with the rest of the team. You will need to be proactive and a self-motivator, able to work autonomously.
