Software Engineer -PHP, Remote

Core Purpose:
This position is crucial to the success of the organisation as you will play a pivotal role in developing our new centralised software. Your expertise will help streamline business operations and enhance their service delivery.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and test high-quality software applications using PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, delivering solutions that meet business needs.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practises.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes.
Your Team:
You'll work closely with a talented Development Team, sharing knowledge and troubleshooting together to achieve project goals.
Who They are looking For:
- Qualifications/Technical Skills:- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with strong PHP skills (Laravel framework is a plus).
- - Familiarity with JavaScript, React, and modern frontend technologies.
- - Experience with MySQL databases and querying.
- - Proficient in working with APIs.
- - Knowledge of Docker and containerised
- applications.
- - Strong understanding of source control best practises (especially GitHub).
Experience Required:
- - 4+ years in a similar role.
- - Agile development experience.
- - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- - Experience handling PII and working within GDPR guidelines.
Personal Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively or self-manage with changing priorities.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise according to business needs.
