Senior Software Engineer
Tech: PHP, Symfony, NodeJS
Location: remote with travel to Reading Area office on day 1 and quarterly

• Do you have 3+ years experience as a Developer using PHP and Symfony?
• Do you have experience using NodeJS?
• Do you want to work on Greenfield Software?

A forward thinking Software Vendor is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be part of the internal IT systems development team. You will work in an agile environment with other teams (including product development, sales, support, and marketing) to deliver business applications based largely on web technologies.

An exciting future project will involve supporting a Greenfield SaaS Platform build using modern NodeJS. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise whilst having the opportunity use modern technology and methodologies to create exciting products for clients.

Responsibilities include: Senior Software Engineer

• Design, code, test, document, maintain, and support web-based applications
• Contribute to requirements, design specification, and technical documentation
• Research emerging technologies and products; recommend suitable products and plan implementation
• Contribute to project planning (agile development)

Experience Required: Senior Software Engineer

• 3+ years' commercial software development experience using PHP and Symfony
• Commercial experience using NodeJS
• Experience with Object-oriented techniques and relational databases (MySQL or Postgres would be ideal)
• Collaborative approach to develop and maintain professional working relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
