You will join the friendly and supportive Software, Electronics and Systems group where you will lead and run embedded software and systems projects. Suitable applicants must have experience managing the development of firmware for embedded products and systems employing wired or wireless communications, sensors, user interfaces and control.

Software Project Manager (Embedded – Firmware) requirements
- Degree in electronic engineering or physics or a relevant discipline.
- Recent and relevant experience managing the development of firmware for embedded products and systems employing wired or wireless communications, sensors, user interfaces and control.
- Knowledge and experience of software development best practice such as test-driven development, agile, continuous integration and unit testing.
- Experience and knowledge of version control systems and containerisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of the software development life-cycle.
- Experience capturing product requirements, and planning and estimating software development work.
- Experience delivering medical electrical/electronic-based medical devices including knowledge of IEC62304 for medical software life cycle process
