Software Tester

Location: Onsite - Sutton Coldfield

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

Chapman Tate Associates are delighted to be working with a leading UK manufacturer who are investing heavily in modernising their systems — and they’re looking for a Software Tester to play a key role in this transformation.

This is an onsite position where you'll work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software as the business migrates from legacy platforms to C#/.NET. If you're a detail-oriented tester who thrives in a collaborative environment, this could be your next big move.

What you’ll be doing:

• Testing software built in C# / .NET to ensure it meets functional and quality standards
• Collaborating with the development team to test and validate newly migrated code
• Creating and executing test plans, cases, and scripts across various systems
• Identifying bugs, logging issues, and verifying fixes
• Supporting legacy migration projects by validating accuracy and performance

What we’re looking for:

• Commercial experience as a Software Tester, ideally within a Microsoft tech environment
• Strong understanding of testing C# / .NET applications
• Familiarity with SQL and data validation
• Experience testing in legacy migration environments is a real bonus
• A sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for quality
