We are currently looking for a dedicated and driven part time (circa 30 hours per week) Sole Chef to join our hospitality team at our recently developed Sailing Club here on the south coast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our outstanding food offerings to our members and guests, and for catering for private functions in our dedicated function room.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Working as a sole chef in our modern kitchen.
  • Working closely with the Club Steward to develop new and exciting menus for our members and customers.
  • Ensuring food quality and taste are of the highest standard.
  • Managing inventory of stock and ordering raw materials.
  • Controlling budgets and minimising wastage.
  • Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook for members, guests, and customers.

**What are we looking for?**

  • Someone who is willing to attain the highest standards possible.
  • We are looking for an employee that is autonomous in their approach but also happy to work well in a team.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3
  • Ideally City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 3 (or Level 2 with a good deal of experience) Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety and food safety.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills as you will be interacting with our members and private function customers.
  • A real passion for food and service, with the ability to prepare and cook good quality seasonal food.
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends.
