Role and Responsibilities: As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts.
  • Producing high-quality diagnostic images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Participating in quality assurance and service development initiatives.
  • Traveling to various community sites to deliver services.
Essential Criteria: To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A degree or diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or other relevant regulatory body.
  • Experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a car, as the role involves visiting various community sites.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience with advanced ultrasound techniques and procedures.
  • Proficiency in working with specialized ultrasound equipment.
Requirements: 
  • Valid and active NMC Registration. 
  • Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency. 
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. 
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. 
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check. If you are not registered with the DBS Update Service, MPS Healthcare will process this check for you at no cost.
