Spanish Teacher - French Teacher - Oustanding School

Tradewind is collaborating with a superbly run, Outstanding girls school commutable from Dunstabe that prides itself on providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic MFL teacher to (ideally) teach Spanish and French across key stages 3 & 4 in their successful MFL department.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons to students across different year groups, following the national curriculum and school guidelines.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and student engagement.
  • Foster a love for Spanish language and culture, encouraging students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Establish effective classroom management strategies that promote a respectful and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and provide support during parent-teacher meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification, specialising in Spanish or French.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish and / or French to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong knowledge of the French curriculum and a creative approach to lesson planning.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for language and culture, with the ability to inspire students to develop a love for the subject.
