Rotherwood Education are looking to recruit a highly motivated and effective Spanish Subject Lead to join a forward thinking, vibrant high school in Blackburn and lead a thriving Spanish Department. This position is set to start in September 2024, and it is full-time and Permanent.

As a full time Spanish Subject Lead, the applicant will still be expected to take part in any necessary activities/ duties of a permanent member of staff including planning and parent's evenings if required.

The successful Spanish Subject Lead will:

  • Hold a valid teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or QTLS
  • Have previous experience teaching Spanish to KS3 & KS4
  • Have excellent knowledge in their area of expertise, and can deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Be an excellent, inspirational teacher with strong classroom management
  • Provide details of last 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years’ work history
  • Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
  • Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several checks.
  • Be committed to continually improving your teaching and learning for the benefit of our students.
