Teacher of Spanish

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join our team, providing high-quality teaching and learning to support students in making exceptional progress. The role involves working collaboratively within a team to contribute to the improvement priorities of the school and consistently maintaining Teacher Standards.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons, ensuring good or outstanding student progress.
  • Set clear learning targets, considering each student’s prior attainment and individual needs.
  • Assess student work and provide regular feedback in line with school policy.
  • Contribute to and follow schemes of work.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for examinations and report on student progress.
  • Maintain a stimulating, engaging, and safe learning environment.
  • Attend parent/information evenings and respond to parental concerns in line with school policy.
  • Engage in the wider life of the school, including whole-school routines and duties.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development and engage with performance management activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Relevant specialist qualifications in Spanish.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and reflective practice.
  • Thorough knowledge of curriculum requirements and developments within Spanish.
  • Ability to teach lessons that consistently meet the Teacher Standards.
  • Proficient use of IT as a teaching tool.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to students and adults.
  • Effective use of data to develop intervention strategies promoting student progress.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, determination, and an insistence on high standards.
