Spanish Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a Spanish Teaching Assistant to support Spanish classes at a secondary school in Slough. This full-time position starts in September 2024 and continues until the end of the academic year July 2025.

As the successful candidate, you will provide in-class support to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 (Year 7 to Year 10) during their Spanish lessons. The school is dedicated to continuous improvement, with passionate teachers who encourage students to excel. The goal is to create an innovative and creative learning environment that inspires and excites students about education.

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is fluent in spoken, written, and reading Spanish. You should be enthusiastic about making a positive impact on students and able to follow directions from the SENCO. Ideally, you should have a passion for working with students and aspire to become a teacher in the future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising students in the classroom.
• Completing tasks assigned by teachers and your line manager.
• Being open to working with students who have special educational needs.
• Demonstrating flexibility in taking on Teaching Assistant responsibilities.
• Being punctual and reliable.

The school is conveniently located just a 15-minute bus ride from Slough overground station, with on-site parking available for those who prefer to drive.
