A highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for a qualified SENCO in a large Liverpool secondary school. The position is a permanent role to start in September 2024. The school can be flexible with the hours. This position is a non-teaching role.

You will be joining an Ofsted rated 'Good' school with good quality leadership and a culture of high expectations. The school is a mixed, 11-18 Academy with over 1300 pupils. Staff are proud to work at this school and feel highly valued. Salary is dependent on experience and will range from £53,000 - £57,000 per annum.

The role

As the SENCO, you will be responsible for maintaining the relationships with parents, teachers and external contacts to ensure the steady progress of pupils.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out assessments of pupils with SEN to identify needs and monitoring progress

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold an enhanced DBS for working with children (on the update service), or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
  • Have a complete 10-year work history
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including from your most recent employer
