Hays Education are working with a number of Special Needs (SEN) schools in South Yorkshire who are looking for teachers that specialise in SEN teaching and support.

We are looking for teachers who have experience working with students with a range of needs including Autism (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Behavioural Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) and Complex Needs. Any additional experience such as Team Teach, Moving and Handling or Personal Care would be beneficial but not essential.

Having knowledge of a range of different learning schemes would be useful as not all the schools we work with follow the National Curriculum. Some work to personalised learning schemes and some to vocational learning plans. Ideally you will also have experience liaising with outside agencies, medical professionals, parents/carers, as well as other staff such as Teaching Assistants and SENCO's.

We are looking for teachers who are available full-time, 5 days a week and willing to commit to long-term work. Some positions may lead into permanent roles however this is not guaranteed in every role.

Please note, you do need to be a qualified teacher with UK Qualified Teacher Status and have referenceable experience within the last 5 years.
