We are seeking a supportive and reliable Special Needs Teaching Assistant to assist PSMLD & ASD Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 pupils, based in Crowborough, East Sussex.

This is a permanent role for the successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant who will support the Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 students with compassion, enthusiasm and understanding. The SEN School values Nurturing, Encouragement and Guidance alongside social and emotional growth and the Safe Guarding of their pupils, which are all key requirements necessary to the role.

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant must be clear in all communications with the Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 students and staff, has an encouraging and supportive attitude, can develop strong and professional learning Pathways for the Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 students during their learning journey and can confidently face challenges that may arise with the Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Teacher with educating Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 Pupils within an inclusive, supportive and positive environment
  • Assist students with any class work and tasks provided by the Teacher
  • Be a listening ear to students and a supportive role model

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in assisting PSMLD and ASD pupils
  • Enthusiasm for assisting Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 with learning
  • Strong communication and team building skills with Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 and staff

Summary:

Information on the Teaching Assistant role:

Location- Crowborough, East Sussex.

Pay- £85-100 per day.

This is equivalent to £425-£500 per week Full-Time.

Day rate is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hours- 8.30am- 3.30pm Monday-Friday.

Full-Time and Part-Time roles available.

Contract- Day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and permanent roles available.

Year- Key Stages 1-5 (Years 1-11, age 5-16).

Some roles available in Key Stage 5 (Years 12-14, age 16-19).

Qualifications- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Level 5 and above.
