Tradewind are recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant for a Special Needs high school in the Salford area that caters for young people aged 9-19 with Moderate Needs, SEMH and Learning Needs.

To join us and be successful in this school based Special Needs Teaching Assistant role in the Salford area you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Minimum of two professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Overseas Police certificates (only if applicable).

The job:

  • Special Needs Teaching Assistant at an Special Needs high school in the Salford area.
  • Start September 2024.
  • Full time, Monday to Friday.
  • 8:15am - 3:15pm each day.
  • Temporary to Permanent basis.
  • Great pay up to £95/day DOE.
  • Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies
  • Equal pay to perm staff in similar roles after 12th week.
  • Supporting students aged 9-19.
  • All children have an EHCP for special needs including moderate learning, sensory or communication needs, Social & emotional needs and some complex needs.
  • It will be your role to build relationships with your pupils, to understand their interests, triggers and obstacles to learning and help them to overcome them.
  • You will learn new skills and develop as a specialist Special Needs Teaching Assistant.
  • The school has strong links with outside agencies, parents and other schools and as such they are looking for a team player who can build relationships with other adults as well as pupils.
  • Easily accessible by bus, tran, tram or car.
