Average Earnings: £37,945 per annum

Salary: £27.3k - £34.1k per annum (Dependent on location, skills & qualifications)

We are currently looking for Gas Operatives to support Special Ops Core + Vac Engineers in carrying out maintenance and repair to our network, replacement, and laying of new gas mains and services.

You will be supporting engineers on site and learning from them every day when carrying out gas service and mains repair activities using the Core and Vac vehicle. The physical aspect of this job involves excavating/digging in the public/private highways repairing and laying gas pipes, so you will be working in a variety of outdoor environments safely and as part of a team. There will be scope to upskill after proving you have the right attributes.

What you’ll need

• Good communication skills, including the ability to converse with members of the public
• Flexibility to work variable hours, participating in the 24-hour standby rota
• A full and valid driving licence is essential
• Some experience of groundwork or similar physical activity would be beneficial but is not essential to apply for the role
