Job Title: Specification and Project Sales Manager

Location: South UK and London region

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £45,000 per year

About Our Client:

Our client, a leading manufacturing company with over 100 years of experience supplying products to the construction industry, is seeking a motivated Specification and Project Sales Manager to join their team. This organisation is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to their customers and is known for their expertise and innovation in the industry.

Responsibilities:

Identify and target new customers and opportunities in the South UK and London region
Interact with colleagues and external customers to establish and strengthen relationships
Utilise knowledge and technical expertise to engage potential customers, including Architects, Main Contractors, and sub-contractors
Manage your own diary, booking appointments from Monday to Thursday, with Friday as an office day
Target projects and contractors where the range of products can be introduced
Collaborate with lapsed customers to re-establish relationships and generate orders
Work towards targets set by the Technical & Specification Manager, aligned with the company's overall goals
Provide alternative specifications through sub-contractors and main contractors, and develop specifications via architects, specifiers, and surveyors
Collaborate with colleagues across the Group to address queries and ensure accurate order fulfilment
Demonstrate technical knowledge and attention to detail in conveying accurate product descriptions and drawing details to subcontractors and main contractors
Prepare precise customer quotes and understand product systems sold by the Group
Have a comprehensive understanding of sustainable construction, both from a customer perspective and within the company, to support customer requirements
Provide regular reports and updates to your line manager on projects and order progress
Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager and required by the business

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Previous experience within sales/business development
Strong technical knowledge and ability to write specifications
Understanding of sustainable construction requirements (advantageous)
Familiarity with architectural drawings
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
Full Driving Licence

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Previous managerial experience
Proven ability to manage time effectively, generate leads, and attend office when required

Technologies:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
