Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist- Adults Voice Disorders

Based in Lewisham, SE London

Start Date: Available from 05/06/2024

Duration: 12 weeks (likely to extend past this and be ongoing)

Hours: 37.5 hours, 8.30-16.30 or 09.00-17.00 as preferred, part-time also considered

Main Duties:

  • To provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy management to outpatients presenting with voice disorders under the supervision of the Lead Speech and Language Therapist in Voice.
  • To assess, diagnose and manage adult clients with voice disorders using sound theoretical knowledge to inform advice, support and therapy
  • To work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) within the Voice clinic in the management of these patients in an outpatient setting

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience of adult acquired disorders including voice disorders
  • Experience of assessment and management of voice disorders
  • Specialist knowledge of a variety of assessment and treatment methods relevant to managing patients who have voice disorders.
  • Knowledge of national policies and guidelines relevant to voice disorders.
