Shift Pattern: 34.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay rate: £21.79

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital care for children and adults across Stockport and the High Peak, as well as community health services across Stockport.

The Trust provides a wide range of services emergency, surgical and medical services and community health services to a population of 300,000 people in Stockport as well a range of community health services are run across 24 sites in Stockport. Main duties of the job

• Manage a varied caseload of patients including stroke, neurological conditions, dementia and other acquired communication/swallowing disorders.

• assess, diagnose, plan and deliver treatment programmes to patients in their care, using evidence-based treatments

• will promote independence, function and integration within the community using a multi-disciplinary approach

• be responsible for own caseload in the clinical setting, including patients with complex needs, working without direct supervision

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

• Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC Registration
• Post graduate dysphagia training
• Experience working in a community setting
• Previous experience within stroke and neurology assessment/rehabilitation
• Valid UK Drivers licence and access to a vehicle
