We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist for a special college renowned for providing exceptional education and care to pupils with various learning difficulties. Job Description: We are recruiting a talented and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. Your work will involve developing programmes for students with speech, language, and communication needs, as well as those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess speech, language, and communicative skills using both formal and informal assessments.
  • Develop and implement therapy programs/plans with SMART targets.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students on your caseload.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver classroom-based interventions.
  • Maintain professional standards of service through continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Write detailed reports for annual reviews and maintain accurate case notes.
  • Organise and run training sessions/workshops for staff and other professionals.
  • Offer support and guidance to parents and carers.

Speech and Language Therapist Qualifications and Experience:

  • Membership in the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience in working with students and families with diverse needs.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a school or college setting.
  • Expertise in designing and leading group and individual intervention programmes.
