The Role:

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Sport Enrichment Coordinator to join our innovative sixth form college. As the Sport Enrichment Coordinator, you will be leading and supporting the drive to increase regular participation in sport by young people aged 16-19. You will work closely with the Head of Sports and will play a key role coordinating and developing the provision, developing links with community providers and the wider sport and youth sectors.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Designing and implementing the College based sports and physical activity enrichment programme
  • Leading the College's Active Lives Active Mind project for Level 1 and 2 students with the aim of maximising activity levels for these students
  • Coaching a variety of sports enrichment activities
  • Overseeing the work of coaches/teachers who are running enrichment activities
  • Developing and co-ordinating external sports fixtures in liaison with coaches

We are particularly interested in applications with PE/ Sports & Exercise Science or related qualifications and experience of working with young people aged 16-19 in an ethnically and socially diverse education setting.

This is a part-time, 28 hours per week, term time only permanent role. The salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges' scale NJC scale 20 FTE (£39,0.16) actual salary (£26,927) inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
