A dedicated and passionate Sports Coach is sought to join a thriving secondary school community in Wolverhampton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the physical and mental well-being of students through sports and physical education.

As a Sports Coach will be responsible for supporting and helping to deliver engaging and effective sports lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and interests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive coaching programmes for various sports.
  • Encouraging students to participate in extracurricular sports activities and school teams.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, fair play, and personal growth.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to organise school sports events, competitions, and trips.
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Staying updated with the latest coaching techniques and sports education trends.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A recognised coaching qualification or degree (2:2 or above) in one or more sports.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or sports setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
