Our client, an Educational Travel company, are seeking a highly motivated and organised Sports Tour Consulatnt to join their dynamic team. This full-time, remote position is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about sports and travel to contribute to the creation of unforgettable sporting experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects sports tours, from initial planning stages through to execution, ensuring each tour is delivered smoothly and exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tour Planning and Coordination: Efficiently plan and organise various aspects of sports tours, including itinerary development, accommodation, transportation, and activity bookings. Ensure all arrangements meet the specific requirements and preferences of each group.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and tour duration. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, offering recommendations, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers such as hotels, transport providers, and activity operators. Negotiate contracts to secure the best possible rates and services for our clients.
  • Budget Management: Monitor tour budgets closely to ensure all costs are accurately tracked and remain within agreed limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or client satisfaction.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for each tour to ensure all health and safety standards are met. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues during tours.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote tours through various channels. Contribute ideas for new tours or special promotions based on market trends and client feedback.
  • Feedback Collection: Collect feedback from clients post-tour to assess satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement. Use insights gained to enhance future tour offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the travel industry or event management sector (Football being essential aspect in Travel).

  • Strong knowledge of sports events and destinations popular with UK-based groups.

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiar with booking systems or CRM software.
