SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with a strong proficiency in T-SQL to join our client in the wealth management sector on a contract basis. This is a remote role with occasional travel to the office in Bath.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers using T-SQL.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues, query optimization, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide appropriate database solutions.
• Perform data migration, transformation, and scripting tasks.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL (Transact-SQL) and experience with MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of database design principles, including normalization and indexing.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with database security practices and data protection regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is a 6 month contract role, with a rate of circa £450p/d.
