Sanderson Plc is working in partnership with a major client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Sr. Group Reporting Accountant to be based around Glasgow/Perth for a contract role.

Role: Sr. Group reporting Accountant
Contract Length: 18 Months
Location: Remote/Hybrid/Onsite(Glasgow/Perth)
IR35: Inside

Job Summary:

  • Essential Job Specific Skills and Experiences.
  • Fully qualified Accountant with 5+ years Post Qualified Experience in a Financial Reporting or External Audit role, ideally with plc or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience of listed plc reporting and corporate governance requirements would be advantageous.
  • Fully up to date knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance requirements.
  • Interpretative and analytical skills to assimilate complex issues into reporting and accounting solutions.
  • Continuous improvement approach focusing on process efficiency.
  • Able to manage numerous complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues.
  • Personal resilience and drive are essential.

Functional and Technical Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Previous knowledge of Thomson-Reuters OneSource would be advantageous.
  • Highly developed analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of statutory reporting and consolidation systems, processes, and workflow.
