We are looking for a MIG Welder and Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Swanscombe, where we specialize in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality steel components. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our supportive work environment.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Overtime available

Pay rate: £18.00/h, weekly paid

Contract: temp to perm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture sub-assemblies using MIG welding to support the main assembly bays.
  • Produce main assemblies by MIG welding up to the paint stage.
  • Sand and grind components or assemblies to remove splatter and ensure optimal fit.
  • Assemble all components using power and hand tools.
  • Ensure sound weld joints and a good cosmetic finish.
  • Monitor all welding processes to prevent shrinkage and distortion.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to lift steel components and stand for long periods while manual MIG welding.
  • Proficient in interpreting 3rd angle projection engineering drawings.
  • Must pass a welding assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Experience with balconies and balustrades is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 3 points, as the role includes some site visits and installation projects.
