Fortel are sourcing experienced steel fixers to work on the HS2 Infrastructure project. You will be an integral part of the heavy civils team across the midland's element of HS2 at the N1 and N2 alignments. A 5-year project, 2022 sees a major upturn in delivery intensity and a great opportunity for individuals to progress their careers and shape our sustainable transport infrastructure.

To be considered you must have:

· CSCS card

· Have a minimum of 4-5 years

Duties include (but not limited to):

· Making measurements and preparing the site for steel works

· Designing and installing steel structures and mesh.

· Using hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh.

· Fitting spacers and supports

· Joining steel reinforcement bars, footings and griders by welding or with clips or wires.

· Select and also evaluate materials for potential defects

· Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications set by Architects

· Liaising with clients, suppliers and other tradesmen

· Following all standards projects

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
