Our client a large housing provider are currently seeking a dedicated Stock Condition Surveyor to join their planned works team on a temporary basis. The role is based in South London and involves a range of responsibilities including the verification of Planned Replacement Requests, handling complex complaints, and conducting thorough stock condition surveys to ensure the longevity and maintenance of our housing stock.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Verify and approve Planned Replacement Requests from Repairs and other departments.
  • Investigate complaints within the region, providing detailed outcome reports.
  • Conduct stock condition surveys to maintain asset lifecycle replacements and ensure value for money.
  • Perform sample validation and auditing on external consultant stock condition surveys.
  • Carry out pre-condition surveys and post-inspection surveys where applicable.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including Consultation & Commercial and Procurement teams as part of the S20 consultation process.
  • Update the asset management database with accurate stock condition and planned works information.
  • Support on improvement/alteration applications, liaising with internal & external stakeholders, and conducting inspections.
  • Work with external building consultants, designers/architects, and other specialists to assist in submitting planning/conservation applications for major planned works.
  • Appoint and collaborate with Party Wall Surveyors where necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree level building qualification or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in Building Surveying & stock condition surveying.
  • Experience working with Housing Associations, local authorities, or other relevant sectors.
  • Strong technical ability and HSE experience.
  • Knowledge of current statutory regulations and codes of practice.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex property challenges.
