We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Manager to join the successful team in Global Marine and Navy! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with strategic clients, driving sales growth, improving business strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction, primarily within the Cruise market sector. If you have excellent relationship-building skills, high attention to detail, and a proven track record in Strategic Account Management, this position will be a perfect fit for you.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer Account Management: Take ownership and accountability of nominated customer accounts, develop, and implement strategic account plans.

  • Sales Growth: Achieve assigned sales targets and drive revenue growth.

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Promotion of Solutions: Promote JCI digital solutions and sustainability solutions to generate and secure PSA opportunities.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high customer satisfaction, addressing client concerns, and resolving issues promptly.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Client Understanding: Understand your customers' corporate objectives and operational priorities and ensure they are effectively communicated with relevant JCI stakeholders.

  • Client Conduit: Act as a conduit between your client and Johnson Controls; leverage the vast array of subject matter experts across Johnson Controls to deliver unparalleled technical and service outcomes.

  • Customer Engagement: Create and lead customer engagement initiatives to improve customer perception of JCI, enhancing loyalty and retention.

  • New Business Generation: Support new business generation in your accounts by identifying and developing new opportunities.

  • Team Integration: Actively integrate relevant technical and sales SMEs through the business development process to improve solution development, sales documentation, and closure.

Industry Networking and Insights:

  • Industry Networking: Network within the industry and provide insights and market updates to the service and sales teams.

  • Lead Development: Work with key internal stakeholders and teams to develop new leads, proposals, and solutions for your customer accounts.

Administrative Support:

  • KPI Maintenance: Ensure KPIs are maintained and reported on.

  • Billing Support: Support accounts and administration teams on billing and invoice queries.

What We Look For

Required:

  • 3-5 years of Strategic Account Management experience with a proven track record.

  • Ability to design and implement Strategic Account Plans.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Demonstrable ability to identify, establish, and develop relationships in client organizations.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

  • Proactive and results-driven approach to sales with an ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Experience with CRM systems.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and financial communication skills; excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Flexible between autonomous and team-based work.

Beneficial

  • Experience within the Marine markets, with a particular focus on aftersales relationships with operators and owners.

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency solutions, building automation, HVAC, and fire systems.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
