The Company

This leading international Legal Professional Services group operating in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, boasts a strong track record of delivering high quality services to a blue-chip portfolio of clients in some of the fastest growing markets in the world. Ongoing expansion has created a new opportunity for an experienced Strategic Applications Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Strategic Applications Manager

  • Together with the Associate Director for legal technology, responsibility for the design, development and ongoing evolution of strategic applications products
  • Supporting the Associate Director to build relationships with partners and CRMS in London, selling the strategic applications offerings
    Support the Managers leading on managing capacity of the team and prioritisation of work
  • Working in collaboration with the digital change team to ensure project requests are being supported by the right team and capacity is being prioritised appropriately.
  • In collaboration with the Digital Change Team and IT, ensuring all software utilised by the strategic applications team has appropriate governance structure around it including:

o Licence agreement details

o IT support matrix

o Relationship with vendors, understanding latest releases and upgrades

o Training for team members

  • Collaboration with the Digital Change team in relation to requests for new tech or new solutions (i.e. not already established within the strategic applications team)

Skills & Attributes of the Strategic Applications Manager

  • Minimum 7 years technology experience in a professional services or related industry.
  • Any experience working within a regulated services environment (preferably legal)
  • The team is responsible for a variety of strategic technology used across the firm. Strong experience and understanding of most of these tools is preferred:

o MS Office Suite Skills (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

o SharePoint, Legatics, Jira

o Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate

o ShareDo, Contract Express, Neotalogic, DocuSign, PowerBI

o Kira, Luminance

  • Comfortable working according to agile principles, scrum, sprint planning etc.
  • Certifications in agile, prince 2 or sigma 6 (preferred) • Comfortable designing and describing workflows and data construct, using diagramming tools like Visio or Lucid Charts to visually represent solutions (process flows, data formats/schema for example).
  • Good communication skills, willingness to be open, proactive & honest about progress, issues, etc.
  • Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams spanning technology and front line operations.
  • Capable of articulating technical concepts effectively to a nontechnical audience.
  • Experience delivering technical solutions to tight deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail, but can also step back from the detail and see problems, opportunities and trends.
  • Strong creative and analytical ability, coupled with sound judgment to balance multiple factors and solve complex problems.
