Street Cleaner
Grade 2, £22,737 up to £23,114 per annum pro rata
37 hours per week on a permanent contract
Keeping our neighbourhoods clean and tidy is the number one priority for the residents of our Borough. The Clean Neighbourhoods Service’s purpose is to ensure “Hinckley and Bosworth is a place with clean, tidy and litter free neighbourhoods where everyone takes responsibility for their waste and the surrounding environment”.
Working days will be Sunday to Thursday, start and finish times will vary between 6.00am and 2.30pm depending on your cleansing team, however flexibility is essential as you might be required to switch between teams when needed.
The Street Cleaner position will, amongst other duties:
• Effectively contribute to the overall success of Business, Contract and Street Scene Services
• Undertake cleansing duties and other supported duties within the overall service
• Work in accordance with relevant legislation, our agreed procedures and defined cleansing standards
The Council’s cleaning and environmental enforcement services have received independent national recognition for being amongst the best in the country over recent years and the service wants passionate and flexible people who wish to contribute and improve this position.
The successful candidate must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
