Structural Design Engineer

£300 to £600 per project + mileage

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team on an ad-hoc basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to work on diverse projects with flexible hours while staying close to home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our design and construction teams to analyse structural designs and provide expert guidance throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct site inspections and apply your findings to develop and implement comprehensive repair schemes, particularly Helifix repairs.
  • Work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Use your solid background in structural engineering to effectively address project requirements.
  • Compile detailed scopes of work and communicate them to the Production Lead, providing high-level guidance for implementation.
  • Ensure repair schemes and scopes of work satisfy warranty requirements.
  • Travel to various sites within West Yorkshire as needed.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, with a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CAD/SketchUp is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
