Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

  • The UK Structured Finance Hedging Sales team provides Risk Management (Interest Rate and FX) Solutions to clients of SG GBIS. The UK desk works very closely with the SG GBIS lending business lines located in the UK, Europe and the Middle East serving both Financial Sponsor and Corporate clients globally in terms of the location of investments.

Summary of the key purposes of the role
  • Assist the Structured Finance Hedging Sales team:
  • in their sales efforts to both Financial Sponsor and Corporate clients by helping to prepare marketing materials, indicative pricing and risk approvals
  • in liaising with other front office business partners including GLBA Lending Business Lines, Structuring, Research, Trading and Debt Capital Market teams
  • in liaising with critical support functions including Middle and Back Office, Onboarding, Compliance and Legal

Summary of responsibilities
  • Preparing market updates and proposals for clients
  • Indicative pricing of derivative structures and solutions
  • Research on markets and clients
  • Preparing credit requests
  • Maintaining business data statistics
  • Reporting client information, deals, business follow-ups and updating SG databases
  • Assist sales with KYC/Account opening/Regulatory onboarding (EMIR/DFA/MIFID) processes
  • Assist sales with Payment/Confirmation issues
  • Maintaining and improving spreadsheets used by the desk
  • Establish strong working relationships with various business lines
  • Assist other London and Paris based Corporate Sales desks on an ad-hoc basis as required
