Student Development Assistant

Role Description: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Student Development Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to support the personal and academic development of our students. This role involves providing guidance, implementing development programs, and assisting with the overall well-being of the students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of student development programs and activities.

  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with academic and personal challenges.

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and encouragement.

  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents.

  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities and events.

  • Support students in developing skills such as time management, study techniques, and goal setting.

  • Assist with the administration of development programs and maintain accurate records.

  • Create a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in student development.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.

  • Experience with development programs or pastoral care in schools.

  • First Aid certification.
