I am currently recruiting for one of my prestigious clients based in Birmingham City Centre. My client sits within the Educational arena and are currently looking for a Student Advisor to join their dynamic team. As a Student Advisor, the role is pivotal in ensuring students receive the guidance and support they need to thrive academically and personally. The role is paying £26,000 pa and the company offer exceptional benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive support to students through various communication channels, including in-person, phone, email, live chat, and messenger.
Monitor student attendance and advise on absence issues, contributing to campus retention goals.
Act as a student advocate, coordinating with instructors and other support teams to address student concerns.
Track and analyse student data, preparing reports to inform decision-making and improvement initiatives.
Organise and oversee campus activities, fostering a vibrant student community.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:-
Vocational qualifications (NVQ 2-3, City & Guild) or equivalent, with relevant experience in a student-facing role.
Proficiency in data management and troubleshooting student issues.- Strong commitment to excellence, with a high-energy, positive, and enthusiastic approach.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
Experience in managing events and supporting students in stressful situations.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable:- Bachelor’s degree and experience in higher education student support.- Familiarity with CRMs, student records databases, and systems like SITs and Salesforce.- Knowledge of data protection principles and student development theories.
