Are you ready to join our client's dynamic and collaborative team as a Systems Officer? We are seeking a talented individual to provide first line support for their main student record system and other student-related systems and interfaces. If you are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and have a passion for working in a fast-paced environment, then this role is perfect for you!

At our client, a Higher Education organisation, the Systems Officer plays a vital role in maintaining and developing key systems, working closely with teams from the ICT Division. You will have the opportunity to contribute to process enhancements and project topics, ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of new processes. As part of the Student Systems team, you will collaborate with Registry staff, professional services staff, academic administrators, academic staff, applicants, and students.

Start ASAP, pay £21.33ph, duration two months with a possible extension, hours Monday-Friday working 35 hours per week, this is a hybrid working role and you will be required to work in the office two days a week. Location of the office South Kensington.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive first line support for users of student systems, communicating effectively via various mediums.
  • Complete established operational tasks within the student system and related interfaces.
  • Maintain and review logs for scheduled system jobs, investigating and escalating any anomalies.
  • Undertake system upgrade and regression testing.
  • Administer access to student systems.
  • Contribute to updates of procedure documents/webpages.
  • Utilise management information systems to produce, analyse, and present reports.
  • Support data reconciliation activities and resolve data quality irregularities.
  • Keep skills and knowledge up-to-date.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
  • Assist with general University duties when necessary.
  • Act proactively and collaborate with colleagues in different areas of the organisation.
