Job Title : Substance Misuse Practitioner

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Full time / 37.5 hours per week

Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

In this Substance Misuse Practitioner role your responsibilities will include:

  • Support and build relationships with service users, provide 1-2-1 sessions, risk assessment & care plans / harm reduction plans
  • Provide face to face appointments with adults suffering with issues related substance misuse
  • To engage with service users in a variety of interventions aimed at increasing choice and control in their lives, using a person centred, assertive outreach approach
  • Provide brief and longer-term structured interventions
  • Develop & review care plans with service users throughout their journey
  • Provide safer injecting advice & urine screening in service

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Substance Misuse
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Driver & access to own vehicle
  • Drug testing experience would be desirable
