Summer Camp Tutor - Coding & Tech Undergraduates
CALLING ALL COMPUTER SCIENCE/MATHEMATICS/PHYSICS UNDERGRADUATES! If you’re looking for a summer job before your return to Uni, then we would love to hear from you!
We’re looking for a number of Summer Camp Tutors to join us at FunTech, a high-calibre provider of technology camps for children, dedicated to entertaining kids during school holidays.
We have multiple vacancies for Virtual Summer Camp Tutors and also In-Person at the following locations:
- Berkshire - Reading, Maidenhead, Ascot
- London - Barbican, Northwood, Richmond, Westminster, Wimbledon, Hammersmith, and more
- Guildford/Tonbridge/Milton Keynes
4-week, 5-week or 6-week contracts are available depending on location within the following dates: Monday, 22nd July 2024 - Friday, 29th August 2024.
Available roles and pay rates:
- In-person Tutors/Coordinators - minimum wage during training period then £15.02/hr including holiday pay. Plus £100 engagement bonus in first pay
- Virtual Tutor - minimum wage during training period then £12.89/hr including holiday pay. Plus a £100 engagement bonus in first pay
What our courses cover:
Our courses cover everything from the basics of computer programming to robotics, advanced programming, and cyber security, designed to prepare children for the digital world.
You'll work with small class sizes of no more than 8 children per tutor. You'll also gain valuable leadership and management skills, as well as an opportunity to build your teaching portfolio and make a real difference in children's lives.
What we’re looking for in a Summer Camp Tutor:
We're looking for tech-savvy undergraduates with a passion for teaching. You should have a good understanding of at least one programming language and be able to communicate complex ideas in a simple and engaging way.
While teaching experience is preferred, we're also happy to hear from energetic and responsible candidates who are committed to delivering the best possible tech education to children.
