The Company

Our client, a global manufacturing business, based in the Newcastle area, looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer to support their high volume manufacturing business. They are undergoing an extensive NPD programme and the role will continue to support this. 

Salary - £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

The Role

Key responsibilities include:
  • Interacting with Suppliers, Design, Operations and Purchasing to undertake deep root cause analysis and subsequently work with technical function to design out potential issues.
  • Supporting the introduction of new products.
  • Developing a proactive approach to improving processes and changing behaviors. 
  • Working closely across their suppliers to ensure ongoing improvement activity for both existing products and development of new products.

The Person

As an experienced Engineer, keen to progress, you will have a proven track record of operating effectively in a product manufacturing environment. 

You will have a structured approach to investigating product failures and undertaking detailed root cause analysis to create an ongoing improvement plant both internally and through suppliers.

You will have well developed communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge throughout the business to effectively incorporate findings into the development process for their significant product development programme.
